The collectible bracelet of Zagori Mountain Running 2024 supports, covering all expenses, the “Gift of Life” Bone Marrow Donor Volunteer Center of the University of Patras (KEDMOP), for the laboratory analysis and storage of samples collected during the race days by the volunteer team “Dream Team – Gift of Life”. This center registers volunteers in the national and global bone marrow donor pool to aid patients with blood cancer, offering them the hope of finding a compatible donor for life-saving marrow transplants.
The “Gift of Life” Bone Marrow Donor Volunteer Center of the University of Patras (KEDMOP) is officially the first licensed donor center in Greece, accredited under Ministerial Decision No. 52084/05.10.2023 by the General Directorate of Health Services of the Ministry of Health (Government Gazette B’ 6093/20.10.2023). It operates with full licensing under the supervision of the Hellenic Transplant Organization (EOM).
